Guess who's back, guess who's back, guess who's back?

I've literally had this stuck in my head for who knows how long! Raw: Rebirth has been my most anticipated book since the minute Belle Aurora announced it! Oh how I've missed Twitch! Twitch is back, and he's ready to do whatever he has to in order to get his family back!

It had been 6 years since Alexa's world was shattered. Not only did she have to deal with the loss of Twitch, but she was left to be a single mother to A.J., or so we thought.... I won't get into the plot, obviously because of spoilers, I'll just say that the long wait was so worth it!

At first I wasn't quite sure if I could handle the new Twitch. I was craving the complete axxxole side of him, but with some time I learned to love the softer side of him. Twitch as a father had me swooning and I was hoping that Lexi would be able to see how much he was trying.

I still don't know how to process the fact that this is the end! However, this series will always have a special place in my heart because it is what introduced me to the dark romance genre. I'll just say that Belle Aurora didn't disappoint and Raw: Rebirth was everything I was expecting, and so much more!

It feels like I've waited my whole life for this series to finish. And I distinctly remember Belle stating that she originally had on intentions in making this out to be more than one book so I'm grateful. And I knew for a fact that Twitch was always going to be Twitch; his 'Twitchisms' would never change. But at the same time, I didn't want him to change much because it would change the story line. And I was afraid for that. I shouldn't of been though. Belle finished this story beautifully. She did him justice.
"'It's like,' I tried to explain it in the best way I could, 'he's an advanced version of himself. he's not Twitch anymore. He's Twitch two-point-oh. It's like his emotion chip has been upgraded or something.'"
And this is quite possibly the very best way to describe him in this book. Because Twitch isn't gone. Oh no he isn't; he's just been upgraded. And. It's Phenomenal. And the way he feels about Lexi. Lord have mercy; everyone wants someone to feel like that for them.
"'You're my f****** religion, Lexi.' When his eyes snapped open, they pled with me, but his voice was uncharacteristically quiet. 'Let me worship you.'"
Ah, God y'all. I can't even with that. I melted. Right into a puddle of goo, yes I did. Because this is so far from the Twitch that we first met. And the evolution....lord y'all. It was everything right.
I will absolutely not give anything away for this book. It's worth every single word on every single page and every single day all of us has sat and cried and complained over. It's the first book I've read and finished this year, and I doubt I have a more favorite. Pick it up and read it. You won't be sorry.
For me, Raw Rebirth is all about closure. Good or bad, I needed to know how Twitch and Lexi's story would play out. Before I say more, please understand that you really need to read the first two books prior to this one before proceeding. This book could be read as a standalone - the author certainly does her best to fill up a blank slate with needed information, but there's simply too much history and too many life-altering events with these characters to skip the first two books. Having said that, it's no secret or spoiler to say that Twitch has returned from the dead and is making his presence known to a select few as he tries to reclaim the life he once had, including his family. To say things aren't easy would be a gross understatement, but I'll leave it at that other than to say that this book covers much more than just the return of Twitch. The plot is dark, gruesome, and graphic and goes into dark, demented, taboo territory. The intensity level is through the roof, and the action is almost non-stop.

Raw Rebirth is, without a doubt, a highly emotional, dark, twisted, f'd up experience in more ways than one. The story unfolds through multiple points of view giving readers an insider's perspective on what individual characters are thinking, along with what's motivating them. Aurora does an excellent job of peeling back layers and letting readers in to see the obvious character growth, and I liked that. These characters have not become stagnant - they have evolved and changed in the six year separation that has occurred. Is Twitch still an arrogant, bad*ss alpha? Of course! But there's so much more emotional depth to him this go-round. I believe he's described at one point as "Twitch 2.0", and I couldn't agree more. But, for me, the one person who made the biggest difference in this saga is A.J. - little Twitch - Twitch & Lexi's 5 year-old-son. He's the heart of much of the story and adds needed depth, emotion, and believe it or not . . . even humor while taking the plot to another level. A killer support cast rounds out this crew of misfits, including family, friends, and villains.

Raw Rebirth is a rebirth of sorts for several characters. It's an intense, passionate, emotional read that I couldn't put down. I loved that the author brought things "full-circle" in the end, but I won't explain what that means. You need to read this one without spoilers and experience it first-hand. I will say that I now feel the "closure" I needed and am curious to see if Aurora will explore the possibilities created in this book in the future. I, for one, would welcome it. Well done Belle Aurora! A Must Read!
