Note, I purchased this directly from Alice Oseman's site, because it wasn't yet available on Amazon US. This is a sweet, angsty, story of two boys who fall in love with each other. Charlie, who is high-strung and anxious (for reasons revealed in the novel) and Nick, a charming, heart strong guy coming to grips with the idea that he can fall for another guy. This examines their circle of friends and family, their school and faculty, and attitudes about sexuality in boys and girls and delivers all with an adorably dorky romance with a definite PG vibe (this would be considered Shouen-ai if it were Japanese Yaoi). The art style is quirky and spare, but conveys emotion well. Alice nails teen angst perfectly! I loved this so much when I found it on Tumblr, that I went to the site and not only bought the graphic novel, but purchased the novel Solitaire, which introduced the characters and focused on Charlie's sister Tori. I can't wait for volume 2 and to see more of how this romance progresses. So do yourself a favor and read it!

4.5*. This was wonderful. The art was beautiful and tender. The characters were relatable and human and just so adorable. Can't wait for the next installment.
